Ancient Egypt because I like the concept of mummification

I've thought about how I'd like to be laid to rest, and mummification seems very cool

I could be wrapped in the finest of linens, and they would put all my organs in ornate clay vases adorned with jewels and beautiful artwork, and I'd be buried alongside a few of my favourite things also mummified in a special tomb made just for me

centuries later my body would still be preserved

i like the concept of being a high-maintenance work of art that future historians have to puzzle over

it seems like a cool way to go
