Do you ever get bored working within one genre?

I admire the focus it takes to specialize, but do you ever think to yourself.... fuck it... let's learn guitar and make folk or something else I'm feeling atm?

I’ve thought about learning an instrument

If anything I’d prolly try to make beats to rap on

Anytime I’ve thought of doing other things, even beyond music, I think to myself it’s like switching my character build halfway or more through a game

Seems like a waste to change course.

Like the furthest potential anyone can reach is if they pick one interest or skill and maximize it

Of course it sucks that as I age it becomes less and less a useful skill socially
