Update I just reached out. He’s in good spirits, still in disbelief. But the family is getting together to spread her ashes throughout their land (they owned some serious acreage in the wilderness).

He’s sad but looking forward to the closure, so I told him to reach out whenever he needs.

Like I said. Really good kid.
